About Timecoyl

I got the idea for Timecoyl when I was very busy with work, keeping up with friends and family any chance I got. Missing meetings weighed heavily. I barely had time to manage the basics. Carving out time to make up what I missed seemed out of reach.

The native smartphone calendar wasn't working for me. I didn't want to open the application every time I picked up the phone, and notifications felt like I was being prodded from one thing to the next. I didn't feel in control.

That’s when it hit me: why not display the important aspects of your calendar directly on the home screen of a phone or the face of a smartwatch, without needing to click on anything?

All it required was drawing events in a circle, and to show the full day's worth of events, drawing more concentric rings, which are all connected to look like one continuous coil. Or rather, a modified "coyl". It became evident that you could use this method in many applications, from smartwatches and smartphones to car dashboards and VR headsets.
